Fine views from the room and the dining area. The vegetarian menu was a good surprise.

Units with a view. The amazing location for the price, so close to the shops, hotels, restaurants and pubs, the restaurant and reception, and the harbour.

Absolutely fabulous and clean place with very welcoming and pleasant staff from the restaurant team to the receptionists. Lovely and very very good breakfast with fabulous view and marvellous location. Location right by the cliff top, and Portpatrick as a holiday treat. Also, on the hill over the harbour.

Would recommend for a transient visit

I really appreciated thenice and neat room with fine views, along with the short walk to the village for charming cafes and scenic spots like Dunskey Castle, made my stay enjoyable.

Staying here with my family and pets was fantastic! Watching the boats sail into the harbour from our room's balcony was a special treat. The staff were cute, and the room was spacious, perfect for our needs.

My kids wished there were more activities for them around the hotel.

My group enjoyed a relaxing four-night stay. The location's scenic views were fine, especially from the attached conservatory. The room layout was cramped was nice. Future guests should request a layout that suits their comfort. A pleasant experience!

This place suits me perfectly! With great amenities like wi-fi, 24-hour security, and a cozy bar area, I feel right at home. The staff's recommendations for local dining have always made my stays nice. I'm definitely coming back for a holiday!

Dinner menu options were disappointingly limited!!! The heating elements in the hairdryer presented a safety concern, and charging discrepancies at check-out left a sour taste!!! Better organization could vastly improve these experiences!!!

I stayed in a Superior Sea View Double room, and the views blew me away. Large windows let in tons of light and the sight of Portpatrick harbour was fine. The bed felt great, and I had everything I needed to make tea. The breakfast selection impressed me, with plenty of options to choose from, and the staff were genuinely friendly and cute. I had one issue with the WiFi signal. It was spotty. A bigger beer selection in the bar would have been nice, too. The cleaning standard throughout the hotel was high, but I noticed some communal areas felt overly bright. It could use a bit more ambiance. Still, I'd definitely consider returning. I had a pleasant experience despite a few minor hiccups.

Fern hill offers a quiet location near the ferry terminal. The views of the sea from the dining room and bedroom are fantastic. My room was very clean and had tea-making facilities. The staff were friendly and cute. The evening meal was good, with great vegetarian options at reasonable prices.

Perfect for couples looking for a getaway

The staff were nice, always going above and beyond like bringing us extra milk and coffee without us even asking.

It wasn't inexpensive but still reasonable given the beautiful experience.

We enjoyed the fine views while watching boats sail into the harbor and took leisurely walks along the cliffs. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast had something for everyone. Just a heads up, the dinner menu can be a bit basic, but overall, it's a great spot to relax.

The only downside was that there wasn't an extractor fan in the bathroom, a bit inconvenient.
